Eimear O’Shea and Jennifer Dollard two fifth year students representing Our Lady of Lourdes Secondary School as youth helpers in Lourdes.
Two fifth year students get the chance to apply to go to Lourdes as youth helpers with the Ossory Pilgrimage. Any fifth year student can apply with a letter outlining what skills and qualities they have to offer and reasons why they would like the chance to go to Lourdes. The two students then have the task of fundraising €1,750 with the help of their Religion teachers. Fundraising events including selling cookies in school at break time, church gate collections and raffles.
This year two amazing girls were picked to represent our school, Eimear O’Shea and Jennifer Dollard. The girls get to experience an opportunity of a life time.
