Gaelic football is a new and developing sport at Our Lady of Lourdes. The school is currently in the early stages of building interest, with the aim of establishing a team for the 2026/27 school year. The focus at this stage is encouraging participation and gathering a core group of players who will form the foundation of the team.

The school plans to begin with friendly fixtures once numbers allow, before progressing into competitive matches through local school competitions.

The development of Gaelic football reflects the school’s commitment to broadening sporting opportunities in the school based on student demand. Students interested in being part of the first school team are encouraged to speak with Ms Prendergast.
