Meitheal Leader Programme

The Meitheal Leader Programme is a whole school, anti-bullying and wellbeing initiative designed to support positive relationships and a strong sense of belonging within the school community. It is based on the principle of “Meitheal” meaning “working together” and empowers senior students to take an active leadership role in promoting inclusion, respect and care for others.

Selected Senior Students are trained as Meitheal Leaders to mentor and support First Year students as they make the transition into secondary school. Through ongoing guidance, Meitheal Leaders provide a friendly, supportive presence for younger students, helping them to settle in, build confidence and feel safe and valued.
